Should I Include My Publishing Company When Adding Myself as a Writer?

It’s not really necessary.

While you are not required to set up a personal publishing entity at your Performing Rights Organization (PRO), if you do set one up, we can include this information with your song registrations. You will have the option to add this information while adding your songwriter details.

However, if you have previously registered songs with your publishing company name attached, you should include it when you send to Songtrust, to avoid conflicts or mis-matches with our collection partners. Otherwise, it is not necessary to include, since Songtrust is a publishing administrator that acts on behalf of your business.
