Can I Register Songs With Co-Writers Who Are Not Songtrust Clients?

You can; just make sure to include all their information.

While you can register any song you own a portion of the publishing for with Songtrust, it’s essential to include all your co-writers as “outside writers” if you are not handling publishing collection for them.

During the song registration process, make sure to indicate who your co-writers are and their affiliations so we can credit them properly. We will then collect your share of royalties; these non-controlled “outside writers” will be responsible for collecting their shares separately.
