How Do I Transfer My Registrations From Another Publisher To Songtrust?

Time to Let the PROs Know

If your previous publisher registered your songs with a Performing Rights Organization (PRO) and claimed ownership according to the terms of your former deal, these registrations will need to be updated to reflect Songtrust as a publishing administrator and to continue receiving royalties.

If you had a previous publisher before joining Songtrust, please proactively send your Letter of Relinquishment (LOR) through our Support Form to submit a ticket to our Client Services Team. You can find this form by logging into your account and finding the link on your client dashboard. The LOR will notify the collection society of your publisher change. Then, we can send a Letter of Direction (LOD) to confirm that Songtrust is your current publishing administrator.

We will do everything possible to properly update your registration, but royalty payments may be delayed while the pay sources process the updates.

Please Note: Proper registration will include a variant of “Songtrust” or “ST Music” depending on the collection society.

For example:

ASCAP - “Songtrust Ave.”

BMI - “Songtrust Blvd.”
