Can I Join If I Write Music With Others?

Absolutely!

When you register songs via Songtrust, you must provide us with the names, affiliation information, and songwriting splits of any and all co-writers.

Please note that we only provide global administration/collection service for writers that you sign up as client writers in your account. You can register splits for non-Songtrust writers, but they will be responsible for collecting their own royalties with their publisher.

It is important for you to keep records of the agreed upon splits with your co-writers to avoid disputes later on down the road. For some examples of how splits could be set up, please refer to the diagram below. You can also download our free split sheet template here.
