What Is a Digital Music Distributor?
These companies help you get your music on streaming sites.
Digital music distributors (aka aggregators) supply music to such global stores and online platforms as iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Tidal. Songtrust is not a distributor; it’s a publishing administrator.
To maximize your collections, you should get set up with a publisher and a distributor. That way you can collect royalties generated on behalf of the underlying composition and the master recording.
Check out our royalty checklist here, and if you need a distribution partner, check out CD Baby and DistroKid, two services we recommend.
