What if Someone is Using My Music in a YouTube Video Without My Permission?

We use Youtube's Content ID to find videos that use your music.

Songtrust delivers all of your songs with ISRC information to YouTube’s Content ID System.  This enables us to automatically claim nearly all videos that use your music on your behalf.

If the video meets YouTube's edibility requirements, a claim will not only put an advertisement on the video which we then can monetize on your behalf, it also prevents the uploader from monetizing the video themselves.

Unfortunately, we cannot assist with takedown notices. If you would like a video that uses your music removed from the platform entirely, please reach out to YouTube directly to request a takedown.

Please note that we can not monetize videos that do not meet YouTube's new eligibility requirements (as of February 20, 2018). In order for us to place ads on and monetize a video, the video must be on a channel that has at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time over the past 12 months.
