I Scored A Film With Orchestral Music. How Should I Register It?

These are always considered non-classical works. In the world of TV & Film, these would otherwise be known as “Cues”.

Music written in service to a film or television show should not be registered as classical compositions regardless of instrumentation or how the music sounds.

Please always register your film cues and credits as non-classical and by selecting “all other genres.”

 

Additionally, when scoring a film, adding cues, one by one, through the client portal may seem tedious. Please request an import template when attempting to add a film score through your client portal for collections.
