Does It Really Take Up to a Year For Songtrust to Collect Royalties?

That’s the standard industry timeline, we’re afraid.

While nine to 12 months may sound like a long time, that’s how long it typically takes to set up a publishing agreement, register your titles worldwide, wait for collection societies to process your information, and have our royalties department process your final payment.

This timeline is standard throughout the publishing industry, and six months is the exception for pay sources, not the rule. Check out how a quarterly royalties schedule works here. And please keep in mind that Songtrust and collection societies only pay royalties when you are owed at least $25.
