Can I Join Songtrust if I am a Member of PRS and MCPS in the UK?

You can, and should, to make the most of publishing royalties.

You can definitely use Songtrust if you are affiliated with the Performing Right Society (PRS) and/or Mechanical-Copyright Protection Soceity (MCPS). Once you have signed up with us, we will ensure they are notified of our agreement so that we can start administering your publishing. Joining Songtrust for your publishing administration needs will not affect your writer share of royalties; they will continue to come directly from the PRS.

Moving forward, you will no longer need to inform the PRS directly about copyright issues. You can simply upload new songs to your Songtrust account, and we’ll register them for you so you don’t have to deal with your collection societies directly. In addition to your home territories, Songtrust will directly register your songs and collect on your behalf from our global network of 60+ pay sources.
