Unlike some other streaming services, whether or not you earn royalties from Souncloud is conditional.

When a user uploads their content to Soundcloud directly through Soundcloud's free service (verses they Premier program), royalties are not generated, and therefore can not be collected.

However, if your music is uploaded to Soundcloud through a distributor such as Distrokid, or through Soundcloud Premier, then mechanical royalties are generated and we will collect those automatically.

It is important to note that not all distributors work with Soundcloud, so you should check with them directly to see if they are able to get your music onto the platform.

You can find a complete list of our mechanical royalty sources here.
