If you are a member of ASCAP, you will be directed to ASCAP OnStage when adding a setlist to your account.

What is ASCAP OnStage?

ASCAP OnStage allows writer members receiving royalties via direct deposit to notify ASCAP of their live performances via Member Access. This data is processed and a royalty is distributed to the writers and publishers of the songs based upon the license fee paid by the respective venue. ASCAP OnStage is not a platform for reporting classical events.

How can I use ASCAP to submit my setlists for performances in the United States?

Step 1 : Sign Up For Direct Deposit with ASCAP

Direct deposit is a requirement to submit set lists to ASCAP. This is separate from your Payoneer account and Songtrust, and must be done in your ASCAP account. This can be done by Selecting “Payment Information” from the “Profile” section on the left hand side of your ASCAP account.

Step 2 : Navigate to OnStage and Create a Setlist

To get started, expand the "Set List" section, click “Add +” and enter a name for your set list. The “Set Lists” section is used to identify your performed songs and archive your set lists. If you go on tour and play the same songs for each show, you can input your set list once, and reuse it for multiple concerts.

Next, you will add the works you performed. Click "Add +" in the "Works" section, and select the songs you performed by checking the box to the left of each work. Once you have selected all of the works you performed, click "Add to Setlist" at the bottom of the page. Keep in mind, your works must be registered with ASCAP in order to add them to a setlist.

Step 3 : Submit your Performances

Once you have your set list, you can add a new performance. Expand the “Performances” section and click "Add +" to submit your show.
On the next screen, you can search for the venue by name. Most venues will automatically match. If not, you can manually enter the information.

Once a venue is selected, fill in the “Performance Info” section. In the “Music Performed” section, choose your saved set list from the dropdown menu.

Step 4 : Submit and get paid!

Once you submit, ASCAP will review your set list and performance for payment.
